About the Role:
G/O Media is looking for a Director of Agile Program Management to help us define and execute building technology products for our stakeholders to best deliver value to our customers at scale. These products include the tools and services our content creators and revenue operations teams use to publish and monetize content across our eleven digital properties. This person will partner with leaders across various departments to educate on Agile best practices, coach departments, and help us adapt to principles that will address the quick-paced, ever-changing needs of the media technology environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Use Agile program practices and methodologies to drive continuous value-driven delivery across the organization
Advocate for, and adapt, agile principles to our specific needs while facilitating agreements between teams
Work closely with our technical and product teams to buildsustainable processes, resolve issues and develop clear plans of action
Serve as Scrum Master and foster an environment for unwavering delivery of business value
Allow for continuous improvement by identifying new tools and approaches to Scrum and Agile and ways to adapt them to our organizational needs
Provide leaders with actionable feedback based on relevant metrics
A deep understanding of Scrum, Lean, or other Agile development techniques
7 years as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), with at least 4 years in a managerial capacity
An emphasis on process at all levels. Candidates should possess the ability to get buy-in and build consensus across an organization
Experience with overseeing and mentoring scrum teams, guiding their professional growth
Knowledge and expertise with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required
