About the Role:
G/O Media is seeking a talented Digital Designer to join our team to help tell the stories of our brands. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Account Management teams to create digital advertising media units and materials, as well as various sales and marketing collateral. This position reports to the VP, Marketing and presents great potential to grow into managing and art directing campaigns.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design and build, custom and templated, digital advertising materials, including unit mocks, rich media, banner ads, from both client-supplied and original assets
Marketing collateral creation, including Keynote and PPT decks
Liaise with outside vendors, freelancers and other members of the internal team
Graphic design elements for branded content, written and video
Design support as needed cross-departments
Qualifications:
At least 1-3 years of experience in Design and/or Art Direction; experience in Digital Media is a necessity
Deadline-oriented, attention to detail a must
Expertise in Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, PPT, Keynote. Knowledge of HTML preferred.
Strong interactive design skills and an understanding of user experience
Keen interest in all things digital media and design
A thick skin when it comes to accepting criticism
Ability to bring our clients creative solutions that are both well designed and strategically on target
Ability to work independently and with a team of diverse voices – sales types, creatives, editors, technologists, and clients – in a fast-paced environment
Degree in Advertising or Graphic Design strongly preferred
