About the Role:
G/O Media is looking for a Senior Product Manager to define, develop and manage new products for our end users and staff. As an essential member of our product team, you’ll work closely with engineering and design to create the next generation of content and advertising products for G/O Media. We are looking for a passionate and analytical product lead who can seamlessly communicate with stakeholders and write clear, concise product requirements for the engineering team. You thrive in a fast paced agile environment, are a tireless advocate for our users and also understand the needs of the business. You can synthesize a diverse set of needs and problems into an actionable product plan that results in a powerful presentation to end users and advertisers alike.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand stakeholder needs and translate them into product requirements
Write actionable user stories with high attention to detail
Define epics, stories and sprint goals with your Tech Lead and Scrum Team
Communicate effectively with designers, engineers and stakeholders
Work closely with stakeholders to define KPIs for strategic areas of focus and guide product development to achieve those KPIs.
Adapt to change and communicate stakeholder impact clearly and consistently
Qualifications:
Track record of creating great user experiences across mobile devices and web browsers
Experience building advertising supported media products
Experience with video and text based content products
Ability to incorporate analytics and KPI development into the product life cycle
3+ years experience working in a product role on a consumer-facing media business
Experience with agile development and working with geographically distributed teams
