We're looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team at Goldin Auctions. This role will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for general bookkeeping associated with our auction and marketplace sales including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Entry of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, incoming, and outgoing payment transactions into our auction management platform and QuickBooks Desktop
Daily reconciliation of incoming Credit Card, checks, and other forms of payment
Monthly reconciliation of corporate Credit Card
Monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation and remittance of sales tax
Follow-up on chargebacks and other payment issues
Journal entries as needed
Respond to emails relating to billing and payment inquiries
Minor work needed for month end financial close
Financial analysis as needed
Full time, 40 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required during Auction close.
At least 3-5 years of relevant corporate accounting experience
A very solid understanding of GAAP
Must have QuickBooks experience (ideally Desktop version)
Must be very strong with Excel
Excellent communication and writing skills to respond to customer inquiries
Works efficiently, always looking for ways to make process improvements
Able to commute to our office in Runnemede, NJ
