Job Summary
Pay Range: $18-$20/hour
This position is responsible for manicuring wet or dry flower from stalk and break down plants to process/trim them to meet quality standards. Also responsible for tracking the batches that they trim including the final finished product, the usable by-product amount (trim), and the un-usable by-product (waste) according to company policy and practices, as well as state and local laws and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Breakdown flowers off of stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product.
- Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch.
- Trim product to comply with Standard Operating Procedures
- Must identify and separate fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower after breakdown of plant.
- Must identify and separate fan leaves, stems, sugar leaves on large and small flowers after breakdown of plant.
- Must separate big and small flowers prior to trimming after breakdown of plant.
- Must separate, weigh, count, and check for each by-product type processed off the flower; adding stems and fan leaves to “waste” for proper tracking.
- Must exhibit competency in basic organizational, tracking and communication skills.
- Must be able to work well independently, as well as with others.
- Must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of cannabis they are trimming; adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality.
- Must manage their time during work efficiently to meet goals while consistently producing quality product.
- Must be able to follow basic instructions so they can help maintain quality standards and production goals.
- Must show up on time for work every day ready to work.
- Must exhibit personal hygiene while processing cannabis.
- Responsible for clean-up of all processing areas and equipment at the end of every day.
- Perform any other duties assigned by manager.
- Assure daily compliance with Company policies including but not limited to: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedule
Qualifications
- Experience with cannabis cultivation and trimming
- Accuracy and consistency while trimming
- Ability to stand on feet or sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to use repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
- Ability to focus on a task for long periods of time
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Candidate must be a self-starter, able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Be 21 + years of age
- Ability to understand policies and procedures and follow appropriately.
Work Environment
- Operations: This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and working in proximity with staff and vendors.
- Retail: This position will work in an indoor facility with controlled temperatures; may be exposed to bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, and working in proximity with customers and staff.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets and may work in proximity with customers and staff.
- Must be able to travel to other office locations.
- Requires travel to different dispensaries and locations throughout the assigned area, particularly during peak times.
Job Requirements
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid California Driver’s License.

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while paying attention to detail
