The Extraction Technician II - Press Operator is responsible for the operation of the daily extraction and post processing equipment and cleaning all processing equipment. This role is expected to exercise all Gold Flora safety standards, SOP’s, GMP, and state and local laws. The Extraction Technician II will be a team-player, respectful collaborator, and have strong attention to detail.

Pay Range: $20-22

Duties and Responsibilities
● Moves flower and trim, raw materials, and finished good to and from approved locations, accurately, timely and compliantly
● Loads all raw materials into equipment accurately and compliantly
● Operates all equipment per SOPs and ensures proper equipment calibration and tolerances
● Adheres to quality control procedures.
● Disposes of waste according to state and local municipality guidelines.
● Keeps laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculately clean.
● Cleans and sanitizes laboratory glassware.
● Complies with local and state guidelines requiring chain of custody of controlled substances.
● Ensures proper storage of cannabis materials and consumables
● Ensures compliance with company policies and pertinent DCC Regulations
● Follows and applies all policies, procedures and guidelines when operating equipment, machinery, or instrumentation; reports unsafe equipment, conditions and practices to ensure a safe workplace.
● Works as part of a team.
● Contributes toward a desirable workplace culture.
● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications
● Strong work ethic and responsible
● High School Diploma
● 1-2 years experience with CO2, Ethanol, or Hydrocarbon Extraction required.
● Knowledge of inventory tracking systems.
● Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials.
● Good communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management.
● Must be able to work quickly but efficiently, while maintaining the integrity of the product.
● Capable of working in a fast pace work environment where you are subject to many interruptions.
● Familiarity with the Prop. 64 market a plus.
● Cannabis experience a plus but not required.
● High school diploma

Working Environment
● This position will work in an indoor manufacturing facility with controlled temperatures; exposed to hazardous chemicals, bright lighting, loud equipment, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.

Job Requirements
● Capable of working with and around hazardous chemicals.
● Must be able to stand, walk, lift, sit, bend, squat, push, pull, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
● Required to wear provided PPE while working in the lab.
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without assistance.
● Work revolves around hours of operating and occasional overtime as needed.
● Must be 21 years of age or older.
● Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
● Selected candidate will be required to pass a post offer, pre-employment background check.
