The Role
We’re looking for a Contract Specialist for the Commercial Legal team. In this role, you’ll be a partner to the business, including sales, RFP, finance, marketing, and privacy teams on a variety of commercial contract matters.You will be responsible for supporting the sales team on a variety of RFPs and customer contracts that are crucial to our company’s operations and success. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a growth mindset, and a strong interest in commercial contracts. Additionally, the candidate will adapt to a dynamic business, is comfortable with change, and is able to deliver practical advice that appropriately balances business needs with risks.
What You'll Do
- Perform contract administration and general legal document organization: track/log, manage forms and templates, obtain signatures, input contracts into our contract management system, ensure certificates of insurance are completed by request, and maintain and file records.
- Review, draft, and negotiate agreements, amendments, order forms, statements of work, privacy questionnaires, customer vendor forms, bid-related contracts, and a variety of contracts.
- Take responsibility for proofreading, formatting, consistency, and accuracy of documents prepared.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, spot issues, potential risks on various contract matters.
- Assist attorneys on various tasks such as drafting, researching, organizing, communicating with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a high level of internal customer support responsiveness and timeliness by operating with a sense of urgency and prioritize work independently and with good judgment.
- Project manage complex customer, RFP, and vendor deals to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the legal team and other internal departments.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Pacific time zone strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a contracts administrator, contracts specialist, or paralegal at a law firm and/or technology company that specializes in technology transactions.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical skills and the ability to simultaneously manage several projects.
- Prior experience supporting a heavy volume of contract transactions relevant to a technology company across various business functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude, team-oriented mentality.
- Current Certified Paralegal status in California is a plus.
- Familiarity with contracting with K-12 public schools, local governments, and/or state governments is a plus.

The typical base salary range for this position is $89,000 - $118,000 per year. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
