The Role

We’re looking for a Director of Brand Marketing & Creative to build equity in GoGuardian’s portfolio of products and the creative execution of marketing initiatives. In this role, you’ll define, execute, and deliver a consistent, high-quality and differentiating creative output spanning across company-wide initiatives to effectively communicate our brand story and connect with target audiences.  You’ll lead a multidisciplinary brand and creative team, including: copywriters, designers, production, and brand team members as well as agency partners and contractors, and report to the VP, Head of Marketing & Communications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning and messaging and a successful track record in developing impactful and differentiating creative spanning across initiatives company-wide.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and refine GoGuardian the brand strategies for GoGuardian and Pear Deck Learning, ensuring they align with our forward-facing strategy and overall business objectives
  • Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines, and systems design across various creative projects and oversee them to completion
  • Ensure high-quality creative output that meets brand standards and resonates with our target audience across asset types, including: video, audio, digital, website pages, event design, and marketing and sales collateral
  • Lead a multidisciplinary creative team providing direction on creative strategy for the development of integrated marketing initiatives across ideation sessions, concept development, and asset and content creation.  
  • Partner with business stakeholders and executive leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution of brand initiatives, representing the Brand & Creative team in presentations and strategic discussions
  • Track and analyze brand performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations
  • Recruit, manage, and inspire the creative team with best practices, fresh ideas and perspectives, and coaching through concept development, creative recommendation of ideas, and revisions
  • Oversee multiple projects through all stages of development in partnership with Production and Marketing Operations
  • Anticipate challenges and escalate roadblocks such as budget and resourcing constraints or unmet dependencies 

 

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of related advertising agency or internal brand management and creative team leadership experience 
  • Track record of success creating and executing integrated campaigns, event experience design, video, audio, digital, social content, website pages, and marketing and sales collateral
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning and messaging, and mechanisms to measure equity and perception in the marketplace
  • Hands-on experience in developing creative, including copywriting, graphic design, and brand creation
  • Previously managed creative individual contributors across copywriting, design, production, and brand marketing
  • Passionate about brand development and systems design
  • Able to inspire a new perspective and rally team members around ideas
  • Skilled at building productive relationships at all levels throughout our organization and with external partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The typical base salary range for this position is $175,000- $200,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
