Responsibilities…

  • Lead prioritization, roadmap, and development of GoFundMe’s technical vision and platform for high efficiency development, delighted engineers, and opening up more opportunity for innovation
  • Lead development of products and capabilities that delight GoFundMe users developing the future of online giving while helping GoFundMe be the most helpful place on Earth
  • Develop an invigorating two-sided network with repeat donations, repeat fundraisers and better connecting all participants on our network for growth
  • Further develop our engineering organization with a focus on developing individual practitioners, engineering managers, and engineering directors, through mentoring career growth, and leadership development
  • Build a culture of technical pride and artisanship while developing an external brand for technical excellence of GoFundMe engineering 
  • Participate in company strategy and vision, prioritization and execution of our products
  • Work cross functionally with product, design, marketing, data, user research and other teams to build out an amazing experiences for our users
  • Develop technical maturity and resiliency in payments, data, etc., appropriate for a company that moves billions of dollars annually

  • A seasoned technology leader who has experience leading platforms and teams at significant scale 
  • Tremendous ambition to drive outsized team achievement coupled with a humble, low-ego character 
  • Ability to change abstractions - diving in on problems, engaging with engineers directly, and curiosity to dig into details, while also able to pull up and engage on long-term strategy while unifying and inspiring multi-100 person teams
  • Tendency toward speed of execution, decision-making, and issue resolution
  • Technical breadth with experience on several areas such as data, payments, consumer internet, social experiences, native app development, and platform/scale
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to drive change in a remote environment and across multiple offices
  • Cultural, interpersonal, and team empathy and savvy
  • Ability to recruit and develop technical and leadership talent
