GoDaddy (NYSE: GDDY) is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Multi Channel Commerce teams. As an engineer in Commerce you’ll be helping Empower Entrepreneurs Everywhere by building a scalable business platform for small to mid-size merchants around the world. GoDaddy currently serves over 18 million customers and we hope to add hundreds of thousands of small businesses to that customer list.
On the Commerce team you’ll get to work with Ruby on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, and AWS technologies. You will also have the opportunity to explore how emerging technologies can be used to meet the needs of our customers. As a Senior Engineer your feedback on PRs and input on coding best practices will help us build with the highest quality in mind.
Your experience should include...
If you’re going to help us build the Commerce platform, drive customer growth, and improve technical innovation you’re going to need at least four years of professional experience and be able to do many of the following:
- Be accountable for code quality and writing unit and integration tests
- Work collaboratively with a distributed team
- Identify, measure, and understand user needs and execute on appropriate solutions
- Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices
- Continuously learn and share new ideas and technical concepts
- Build complex multi-service web applications in Ruby on Rails, and maybe NodeJS
- Develop APIs for external consumption via REST or GraphQL
- Deploy applications and troubleshoot them on the AWS tech stack
- Write well factored, object-oriented code using the relevant design patterns
- Understand modern datastore mechanics and performance
- Write good unit tests and ideally follow TDD principles
- Pair program every day
- Mentor junior engineers
