We are currently seeking an Art Director to join our Marketing team in Burnaby

Reporting to the Creative Director, we are seeking an Art Director to lead the visual execution of Clio’s brand and strategic initiatives including the Clio Cloud Conference and Legal Trends Report. These responsibilities include creating and communicating visual concepts across multiple mediums, implementing marketing strategies and developing great design solutions that resonate with our target audience and generate results. 

Your visual design sensibilities should be top notch, and you have the ability to translate a brand into distinctive looks that tell the story of Clio that resonates with our audiences. Our mediums span digital, out of home, video and print and you should be comfortable learning to design for new mediums to reach new audiences. 

What you should have: 

  • 7+ years of experience at a design agency and/or in-house design team.
  • Experience leading visual identity creation and refreshes. 
  • The ability to guide and direct more junior designers
  • A design degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Humility plus strong opinions that are loosely held.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment and balance multiple priorities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the visual execution of the Clio brand and key initiatives including Clio Con and the Legal Trends Report. 
  • Develop concepts and communicate ideas to stakeholders and team members.
  • Mentor designers on a range of design practices. 
  • Directly contribute to the conceptualization, storyboarding, prototyping of design solutions that deliver measurable impact to our audiences. 
  • Use and leverage metrics to drive design and measure success.
