The role
You'll define and implement a global partner acquisition strategy that aligns with GoCardless's ideal customer profile. This role involves managing the entire partner journey—from identifying targets and negotiating contracts to onboarding and sustaining relationships—while collaborating with marketing and partnership teams to drive growth and achieve acquisition targets in the B2B SaaS landscape.
What excites you
- Defining a new partner acquisition strategy and building a global pipeline of partner targets aligned with Gocardless’s ideal customer profile
- Reviewing the eco system - planning, strategising targets and onboarding global partners
- Managing the entire partner journey- from pitching, contract negotiation to live launch
- Creating, targeting and partner contact plans
- Building and nurturing a network of relationships across decision makers within your target partners
- Collaborating with the wider partnership and marketing teams to develop marketing initiatives to support the acquisition, launches, retention and growth of new partnerships.
- Relationship managing new partners (for a set period of time). Building GTM frameworks- launching campaigns, customer acquisition plans and mutually identified goals
- Enabling and educating new partners - ensuring they have a strong understanding of the GoCardless proposition, systems and messaging
- Working towards partner acquisition targets
- Being an advocate for partners, representing the needs of the eco system within GoCardless
What excites us
- 3+ years partner development/ partner management experience or new business sales experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
- A proven track record of exceeding quotas, preferably within the payments or fintech space.
- A strategic thinker who enjoys building scalable partnership acquisition strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and driving revenue from new business.
- Experience in B2B partner contract negotiation
- Customer-focussed and are always seeking solutions that simultaneously benefit the end-user, your partner and the Go Cardless business.
- Proven track record in partner development, partner onboarding and targeting
- Business development + Relationship management building
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills. You relish digging into data to understand performance and identify opportunities for optimisation and growth.
- Excellent time, prioritisation and project management skills
- Target focused and thrives in working in a fast paced environment
