GoCardless is seeking a senior manager to build and execute its global customer demand generation marketing strategy. As part of the Commercial Demand Generation Marketing team, you’ll lead cross-sell/up-sell marketing for our Commercial account base of clients from Scale-up to Enterprise to significantly contribute to the company's revenue goals. You will build a function to identify and acquire new revenue opportunities from our customers and develop a cross-functional team of experts who harness our world class demand engine to accomplish these objectives.

The role

This role requires a senior manager with experience in developing customer demand generation strategy, who thrives with ambiguity, can build successful teams and possesses deep expertise delivering campaigns in collaboration with different stakeholders. 

  • Develop a breakthrough demand gen strategy that connects our customers to our products through our communication channels and demand engine.

  • Work with cross functional teams to understand business requirements, develop campaign goals and deliver pipeline objectives.

  • Partner with internal and external teams to bring these strategies to life, creating targeted and scalable cross-channel campaigns.

  • Test, iterate and scale demand gen solutions to create cross-sell/up-sell opportunities through personalised customer experiences.

  • Establish KPIs to measure effectiveness of campaigns. Take direct ownership of daily, weekly and monthly campaign metrics, reporting on programme performance to GTM leaders and executives.

Desired skills

  • Significant experience in running digital marketing programmes, preferably in a SaaS or related B2B business.

  • Proven track record of using customer insights, marketing metrics and analytics to inform and scale successful global marketing programmes.

  • Comfortable working with large sets of digital marketing and product usage data to glean critical insight to inform marketing strategy.

  • Meet high growth targets for the business with an eagerness to challenge the status quo to drive performance.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, experienced in building programmes from the bottom up

  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator, building strong relationships and ability to influence stakeholders to gain consensus on vision for driving shared outcomes

  • Detailed orientated, problem solver with strong analytical skills to synthesise data into meaningful optimisation strategies  Experience with Looker and Google Analytics a plus.

Their feedback helped us develop our 'Adaptive Working' model, rolling out mid to late 2021. It's built around three components: days in the office, remote working, and enhanced environments. This means teams will be able to come into a GC office between one and three days per week for collaboration and teamwork, with the rest spent working remotely to enable a healthy work/life balance. We’ll also be reimagining our office environments so they enhance the collaboration and socialisation aspects our GeeCees told us they value most highly.

We continually review this approach in conjunction with the changing restrictions in each of our locations; additionally we offer support to maintain wellbeing and comfort, including subsidised home office equipment, workstation assessments and a range of remote social activities you can dip in and out of whenever you fancy.
