The ANZ team
GoCardless has ambitious plans for Australia and New Zealand. We expect to grow through a combination of existing relationships with global partners (e.g., Xero) and multinational merchants. We’ve recently opened an office in Melbourne with an initial team from our London HQ, including a Country Lead and two Account Managers. We’re now building out our local team in Australia as we prove our product-market fit and seed volumes.
You’ll be joining a small team, meaning there’s a huge opportunity to make an impact, and a huge opportunity to learn.
GoCardless integrates with other software platforms to allow companies to offer Direct Debit to their customers. We already have strong existing relationships with global platforms such as Xero and Chargebee who have a strong presence in Australia.
Your role will be to expand the usage on these platforms within Australia and New Zealand. You’ll work closely with our Global Partnerships, Marketing and Sales teams to develop joint go-to-market plans for our ANZ expansion. You will then lead on the local execution of these plans, while working to deepen local relationships. As the main advocate for these partners in Australia and New Zealand, you will also provide invaluable feedback to our Global Partnerships, Product and Operations teams to ensure that we create the best possible experience for our merchants.
We’re also always on the lookout for new platforms to integrate and build relationships with. You’ll work closely with the Australia Country Lead to identify, win and grow new local partners based in Australia & New Zealand.
We’d love to hear from you if:
You have some experience working in strategic partnerships, account management or sales, ideally in a tech environment
You are comfortable learning a technical product. Whilst you won’t need to code, you will be expected to have a detailed understanding of our integrations and API.
You are a strong project manager, with the ability to stay organised and calm, even in high pressure situations
You are commercially astute - you can hold your own in a high-stakes negotiation
You love networking and relationship building, and you can articulate yourself clearly
You are self-motivated with high-energy levels, and you inspire others to work with you
You are data-driven and naturally inquisitive. You enjoy getting under the skin of a problem and seeing things through.
