Asset Protection Specialist - Warehouse

ASSET PROTECTION / FULL-TIME NON-EXEMPT

 

This role will support the local Asset Protection Team in our new London warehouse. The incumbent will help ensure a safe and secure work environment by acting as a visual deterrent to potential loss while also documenting any/all required activities.

Location of our new warehouse: 3 & 4 Gemini Business Park, Hornet Way, London, E6 7FF
Working hours will be 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

 

In the Asset Protection Specialist role, you will:

  • Review and help revise the Asset Protection POST Orders for your assigned facility.
    • Ensure that all aspects of the POST Orders are in place, monitored, and enforced
  • Assist in enforcing the facility level IIP Program, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, and the Fire Prevention Program.
  • Assist with access control compliance, the visitor program, and access card audits.
  • Complete opening/closing checklists and communicate the findings.
  • Assist the local Asset Protection team and conduct the following procedures:
    • Vendor Audits
    • Transfer Audits
    • Monthly Fire Extinguisher Tests
    • High Value Location Audits
    • Pertinent Cycle Count Inventories 
  • Support the local management team with any planned and/or special events.
  • Controlling the entrance and departure of employees, visitors and vehicles according to protocols.
  • Conduct thorough package inspections, including jackets/coats anytime employees are exiting the facility (warehouse/retail store).
  • Monitor all surveillance cameras and the premises to watch out for any disruptions or unlawful/suspicious activities.
  • Evicting trespassers and violators and detaining perpetrators while following legal protocols before relevant authorities arrive to take over.
  • Be trusted to make smart decisions, consistent with applicable guidance and policies, requiring good judgment both proactively and reactively.
  • To ensure the safety of our customers and employees. AP employees must be willing to adhere to GoatGroup’s “hands off” policy 
  • Any other duties as assigned by Asset Protection, Workplace Services, and/or Operations.

We are looking for:

  • A motivated and team oriented individual with one or more years of Distribution Center and/or Retail store experience.  This includes the following:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Security Guard experience
    • Audit and compliance experience
    • Ability to coach and train team members
    • Ability to confidentially handle personal and/or sensitive information
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the evolving needs of the business
    • Google Suite and IOS experience is a plus for this position
    • Ability to work in a typical warehouse or retail environment.  This could include dust, fluctuating temperatures, and extended time frames of sitting and/or walking.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
