Job Description

GMED North America is hiring a Business Development & Marketing Director to lead the Business Development and Marketing units. As a part of the Directors’ committee, the director will bring his/her expertise to support the strategic vision of GMED NA, and manage the performance of the Sales, Client Solution and Marketing units.

The role includes a strong collaboration with our Marketing and Communication Manager and Sales Manager based at our HQ in Paris.


Essential Functions

Strategy

  • Define and deploy the marketing plan, sales strategy, and service development to increase our market shares,
  • Establish pricing guidelines and strategies based on market intelligence and branding strategy, monitoring competition, and market trends,
  • Continuously research and report on competitors and industry trend analysis, Data analytics/approach. Including regulatory, business and service competitive edge,
  • Align with other senior leadership and other divisions to define objectives and key results consistent with the short- and long-term vision.

Growth

  • In alignment with other divisions, forecast and develop annual sales quotas per business segment, project expected sales volume for new services; analyzing trends and results,
  • Develop and maintain an external network allowing business growth,
  • Business development, new service development, and brand awareness,
  • Drive the sales closing of your team aligned with the targeted client segments,
  • Support sales executives to close sales when needed

Branding

  • Lead our company branding positioning by driving the digital marketing content development, capture of customers' feedback and market intelligence analysis.
  • Build a marketing and sales plan based on your proposed business strategy, including promotional plans, events, sales targets, etc.
  • Organize, coordinate, promote and participate in conferences, prospects meetings, seminars, and other events for GMED NA,
  • As the Director, be a leader representing and promoting company values with your team, company team members with our external contact.

Operational

  • In coordination with the Financial Division, establish an annual and monthly Sales & Marketing budget and track monthly performance vs budget,
  • Implement, improve, and monitor KPIs, and report to CEO and Directors' committee the outcomes and results of the Marketing and Sales plan,
  • Recruit, train, engage and evaluate the Sales & Marketing Department's team,
  • Coordinate all Marketing and Sales efforts with France's Headquarter business management team,
  • Support the definition, evolution, and maintenance of the Sales & Marketing Department digital tools {CRM, CMS, etc.).

Who You Are

Job Specific Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Adequate Sales & Marketing experience within the Medical Device industry with a track record of success, including overachievement of quota.
  • Proven success in achieving sales objectives in a variety of distribution structures and product segments.
  • Experienced strategic thinker with robust execution capabilities, who must be detail-oriented to monitor performance and identify risks/opportunities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to federate, convince and find solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in sales and marketing analytics, with experience using advanced reporting tools, CRM systems and data visualization applications.
  • Technical background and/or experience in the regulatory field will be a plus.
