 Your work-life opportunity:

We are looking for a Head of Real Time Operations (internally called OCC: Operations Control Center) focused on improving our main operational metrics through real-time processes optimisation.
You will be working from Glovo HQ in Barcelona, leading the strategy for the whole department globally, managing directly a global team, centralising and optimising processes and hubs across the regions (around 400 agents globally executing our processes).
We understand “real-time operations” as the proactive processes related to the proper courier performance (the core of our industry): adequate balance of supply of couriers vs. demand of orders, courier fleet management, courier bonus setting, performance of the real-time agents, etc.

Be head of a team where you will:

  • Be responsible for the centralisation, optimisation, automation and roll-out of real-time processes and tools in order to improve city Kpis, orders performance and agent’s efficiency.
  • Work closely with the regional teams of OCC and all the verticals from Operations team (Customer Support, Strategy & User Experience, Partner Operations, Supply Operations) to lead projects related to real time operations.
  • Define the worldwide strategy of internalization or externalization of services.
  • Gather the main product requests from the local teams (26 countries) and build successful business cases to improve our internal products.
  • Control and optimise operating cost globally.
  • Report directly to the Global Director of Supply Operations.

You have:

  • Proven track-record of delivering successful improvements of internal processes and 5+ years experience in in high demanding roles or analytical positions (operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, logistics, analytics or similar).
  • Experience in on-demand food delivery industry, ride hailing or technological platforms is a plus
  • Experience in customer support industry and call center management or coordination is a plus as well
  • Project management: you are able to manage complicated projects with involvement of various teams from different countries.
  • Team leader and team builder.
  • Deep understanding of the user experience and problem solver mindset.
  • Excellent communication, the ability to engage internal and external customers.
  • Out of the box thinker and high level of self-initiative (proactive in finding new solutions to new issues).
  • Good knowledge of SQL, Google scripts is a plus.
  • High English proficiency
