Glovo is a Barcelona based start-up that is transforming consumer access to local goods, enabling anyone to get nearly any product delivered in less than 60 minutes. 

We are looking for an experienced leader with a demonstrated track record of creating, leading and executing a pricing strategy. The successful candidate will be a passionate professional, with experience managing a high performance team and successfully collaborating with regional/global stakeholders. This is a global role with direct impact on key strategic goals of the entire company! This role is based at our HQ in Barcelona.

As we’re sure the right candidate will agree, at Glovo, we believe that the right pricing strategy is key to unlocking value and supporting corporate strategy to win in any market. In this role, you will be a key thought leader behind our delivery fee and surcharge pricing strategy and responsible for translating this strategy at a local level, accounting for each market’s specificities in order to support their profitability and growth ambitions - which will directly create value at a global level!  

As the role will influence how the pricing of our delivery fee is designed and executed, you will partner closely with regional and local GMs as well as other key parts of the business such as in-app user experience, data science, product, marketing, sales and restaurant operations. The focus of this role is to devise a global pricing strategy that empowers and uplifts the commercial performance - in terms of offerings, user experience, and pricing methodologies.

You will:

  • Be the thought leader behind Glovo’s pricing strategy globally and lead the team who are responsible for innovating and creating this strategy
  • You will collaborate closely with regional and local GMs to ensure the vision and strategy for pricing is implemented at a local level: aligning local  initiatives to optimize efficiency and empowering local teams to understand and track key pricing performance indicators
  • Define how to customise our pricing strategy for different cities and what the key factors behind different pricing strategies should be
  • Identify commercial opportunities using  data to understand user-buying behavior and define our pricing strategy
  • Find the sweet spot where growth is not impacted, but pricing revenue steadily increases - without altering user experience
  • Introduce global guidelines and processes with local teams aimed at creating consistency in user experience and engagement
  • Introduce ways to increase ticket size - scale quick wins globally

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, project management, pricing roles
  • Strategy consulting experience will be highly valued
  • Experience with on-demand marketplaces will be highly valued, either by having directly worked or advised companies in the space
  • Experience leading a team - must be a great people manager who believes in the value of we not me
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable dealing with high growth and complex business challenges
  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Engineering, Stats or Quantitative field
  • Proficient in English
