One of the key parts of the experience is payments. With our goal being to allow users to pay using their preferred payment in every market we operate in. Also, we must ensure that we have an according procedure for Payouts to complete the picture.
We’re looking for someone to join our Fraud & Payments team with a focus on building large scale processes, execute against our acceptance, cost, and risk KPIs, and ultimately improve the user experience.
We accept multiple payment methods determined by factors ranging from consumer demand and user experience to merchant-side considerations. Ideal candidates are process-oriented and results-driven.You’ll be able to greatly impact our payment operations. You’ll work alongside world class cross-functional teams ranging from Engineering, Product, Operations to Finance.
You will be an essential part of the payment operations efforts.  You will be dealing with the different payment processes involving customers, couriers and partners payouts, and payment operatives aimed to facilitate goods interchange between Glovo, the couriers and a third party merchant.

You will:

  • Identify, size, prioritize, and pursue opportunities that improve our performance in collaboration with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business Intelligence
  • Understand the needs of Glovers, partners, and customers globally
  • Define, track, analyze, and own payments related performance metrics
  • Define on-boarding and escalation procedures for new and existing payment connections in partnership with Engineering, Risk, and Accounting
  • Stay up to date and informed on developments in the payments space, from regulatory trends, new payment methods and players, changes at the card networks, and other changes impacting Glovo’s payments business
  • Work across internal and external stakeholders to help define Glovo’s approach around payments


  • 2+ years experience with payments, banking or finance operations. Consultancy background desired.
  • Experience in implementing local payment methods, either from an issuer or acquirer perspective, or payouts desired
  • Effective cross functional project management experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving abilities. You’re easily able to break a problem down into its constituent parts to identify the best solution forward
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment – we have no shortage of asks but limited time and resources. You need to be able to effectively assess, prioritize, and execute autonomously
  • Highly analytical: Ability to approaching complex payments challenges in an three-sided marketplace
  • Proficiency in English is a must
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • SQL skills required
