Glossier seeks an experienced Senior Manager, Quality Systems to drive improvement in applicable regulatory and Quality Management System (QMS) standards by identifying gaps, and building effective solutions to support product quality, efficacy, and safety. This position requires proactive leadership to standardize, manage, and maintain controlled documents, records, and training.  This individual will also support the external audit program to meet corporate requirements and ensure commercial readiness with contracted manufacturers as appropriate. Collaborative teamwork is essential as this role interacts with various cross-functional teams, emphasizing governance routines and product quality assurance.

6 Month Expectations: 

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment and gap analysis to identify areas of Glossier quality systems in need of improvement, replacement, or creation to ensure continued compliance with FDA MoCrA requirements.
  • Develop action plans to implement, improve and integrate necessary system tools and processes.
  • Prepare for management review meetings by reporting on the quality system performance and relevant metrics.
  • Support standardizing procedures and training internal and external teams to ensure adherence to MoCRA regulations across all quality systems and tools.
  • Establish solid working connections with key internal stakeholders to guarantee all quality systems and tools are properly rolled out and utilized.
  • Create a structured feedback loop with various departments to continuously gather insights about potential quality and compliance issues and address them proactively.

12+ Month Expectations:

  • Validate and consolidate data sources to streamline critical Quality tasks and ensure compliance.
  • Be the subject matter expert for quality database management and document control.
  • Provide comprehensive oversight for documents, learning, training, and quality management databases.
  • Monitoring quality systems, and implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage Change Control process end-to-end, coordinating with all relevant functions to ensure proper documentation within regulatory guidelines.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Identify and manage improvement projects to reduce quality control testing, improve Right First Time, and anticipate inventory expiry risks.
  • Staying updated with regulations, industry standards, and integrating Risk Management principles in compliance with FDA, MoCRA, ISO 22716, and other relevant GMP standards for cosmetics and beauty.
  • Handling other duties as deemed necessary.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, or other technical related discipline
  • 6-8 years of quality management experience within manufacturing, processing engineering in beauty or CPG 
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Lead Auditor Certification or ASQ CQA preferred 
  • Experience leading technical quality improvement initiatives within a FDA regulated facility
  • Experience with building and improving  quality systems and databases
  • Demonstrated ability to build a culture of quality excellence with professionals
  • Experience in GMP/cGMP processes and documentation requirements
  • Quality tool knowledge in data collection, process control 
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and transform organizations, 
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a rapidly evolving product environment

In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum compensation range for this position:

  • The estimated annual pay range for this role is $106K - $138K. There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
  • Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation and benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term and Long Term Disability leave, and a range of other benefits.
