We are looking for a motivated and scrappy Inventory and Back-of-House Associate with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to manage the back-of-house operations of our newest pop-up store. This role is equivalent to managing a small-scale warehouse. You like to take initiative and work behind the scenes to ensure smooth store operations. You have a knack for organizing and have experience loading and unloading inventory. You understand that the function of the back-of-house of a retail space is a small-scale warehouse. You will be a part of the Chicago pop-up team and help bring the local Glossier experience to life.

Duration: 2 months

Responsibilities and Duties:


  • Hands-on work that will require handling of boxes, dollies, and transferring inventory between locations
  • Receive daily inventory shipments according to Glossier’s operating procedures
  • Count, record, organize and unpack inventory
  • Ensure back-of-house/inventory room is organized and stocked at all times
  • Maintain inventory levels for products, cleaning supplies and non-consumables
  • Conduct weekly inventory counts and audits and submit weekly reports to management and planning teams


  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of back-of-house locations
  • Assist with setup of product placement and merchandise flow before and after store operating hours

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 40 lb: you should expect to handle and range of package sizes and weights; some are large and lightweight and others are small and heavy
  • A critical thinker who is able to excel and adapt in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Positive energy: you are a self-starter and love to take initiative
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Great communication skills: you can get along with everyone—patience is key
  • Organization skills: you know the devil is in the details
  • You’re passionate about the Glossier mission and understand the Glossier aesthetic and visual language
  • Able to work 4-5 days a week, including weekends
  • Previous inventory and back-of-house experience is highly preferred
  • Experience making operational improvements in a warehouse or inventory management environment
  • Able to work starting in mid-August, for about 2 months
