About the Role

As the Head of Sales, you will be the leader building and running a team directly responsible for rapid revenue and account growth. You’ll architect and build an efficient, best-in-class go-to-market engine to close and upsell SMBs, complementing a self-serve growth cycle. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams, work closely with customers, and build a team that shares the magic of GlossGenius with ever more potential customers. 

What You’ll Do

  • Create and operationalize the vision for the GlossGenius sales strategy; implement scalable and creative go-to-market sales motions to take GlossGenius to the next level 
  • Build and lead a fast-paced, high-performing Sales team that accelerates a self-serve growth cycle; own and oversee the inbound and field sales function 
  • Drive the hiring, training and development processes for the Sales team, building and deploying key strategies, outbound playbooks, training/enablement and core messaging that revolves around value prop and benefits, and showcases competitive differentiation  
  • Architect and build predictable and repeatable sales funnel processes and best practices for trialing-to-activation and activation-to-upsell customer journey 
  • Build and manage team plans, forecasting, pipeline coverage, performance and metrics on a regular cadence  
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to share key product opportunities and customer insights, and ensure an efficient, cohesive customer journey that drives SMBs to healthy product adoption

Metrics You’ll Own

  • Revenue quota across pre-trial, trial, and active member segments 
  • % conversion to paid (or upsell) on sales interactions

What We’re Looking For 

  • 8+ years experience in building and leading a Sales team with a successful track record of quota attainment and success; B2-SMB experience is a plus!
  • Strong leadership experience with a passion for leading change and rallying others around ambitious goals 
  • Deep understanding of both sales-led as well as product/self-serve led customer growth strategies
  • Creative approach and willingness to test and iterate on new strategies and messaging with the team in order to improve revenue growth 
  • Analytical and data-driven leader that can design and implement strategy and execution plans for the team, and measure and monitor their success 
  • Experience in successfully taking a company from ~$5M to $50M+ 
  • Experience partnering with upper-funnel (Demand Gen) leadership to design and implement appropriate strategy and campaigns for revenue growth 
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional leadership (eg, Product, Customer Success, Operations) to create a systematic, cohesive customer lifecycle that delivers enduring value to customers 
  • Genuine interest and excitement in striving toward ambitious goals and making a huge impact for SMB customers
