As a Sr. Software Engineer at GHX, you will:
- Lead backend development efforts, designing and implementing robust APIs and services using .NET Core/C# to support our healthcare applications.
- Collaborate with your engineering leader, fellow developers, and other cross-functional peers to deliver value to our users, including through new feature prototypes.
- Decompose problems or business scenarios into solutions composed of multiple software components and services interacting with each other.
- Actively participate in providing and receiving feedback through code reviews to ensure high-quality code and continuous improvement.
- Develop and deploy impactful, elegant, technically advanced changes to our solution, focusing on scalability and performance.
- Implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and automated deployment strategies on
- Design and optimize database schemas and write efficient SQL queries.
- Develop and maintain database stored procedures to support application
- Focus on code quality with meaningful test coverage and legibility for other engineers to ensure maintainability and ease of understanding.
- Contribute to our culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for enhancement and actively seeking out opportunities for growth and
- Design software components in well-scoped scenarios, with simplicity, maintainability, and scalability as key considerations.
- Use metrics to evaluate and improve deployment and team effectiveness, ensuring that our processes are as efficient and effective as possible.
- Integrate and use monitoring and alerting tools to proactively resolve problems before they impact our users, ensuring high availability and reliability of our systems.
- Actively mitigate the risk of failed delivery and missed deadlines through transparent communication with colleagues and stakeholders throughout an agile lifecycle.
- Identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks within our systems, continuously improving our codebase and architecture.

Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of professional work experience in software
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience leading backend development and strong proficiency with .NET Core/C#.
- Proven experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Knowledge of Python is a bonus.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and developing database stored
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic

You’ll be a great fit if you have relevant professional software engineering experience demonstrating some combination of:
- Backend development experience with .NET Core, C#, and related frameworks, designing scalable and secure APIs and
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, leveraging cloud services and infrastructure to build and deploy applications.
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases, including schema design, optimization, and writing efficient SQL
- Proficiency in developing and optimizing database stored procedures to support application
- Experience applying software best practices, such as delivery metrics, test coverage, scalability principles, and technical documentation.
- Experience working in a product-based company, especially in health tech, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.
