Glen Echo Group is a creative communications firm with offices in Washington, DC and Chicago, IL seeks an Office Manager to join our fast-growing, DC-based team. 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for an organized, proactive, and forward-thinking individual to manage our office. As a key member of our organization, we will rely on you to be the ‘face’ of Glen Echo Group. From greeting clients to candidates, answering calls and inquiries, and keeping our space (and our heads) organized, there is no task too big or too small for you to tackle. Role location: This role is based in our Washington, DC office on a hybrid basis. The Glen Echo Group staff is in-office 2 days per week.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Organize and maintain the office so that it runs smoothly and efficiently
  • Manage CEO’s calendar, staff meetings, and the company credit card
  • Manage relationships with our parent company Orchestra, serving as a liaison to the HR, Operations and Finance departments
  • Work with the leadership team to create and manage office budgets
  • Manage relationships with office vendors, including (but not limited to) cleaning and maintenance, building management, IT support team, etc
  • Order office and kitchen supplies. Manage conference room usage, bookings, and ensure rooms are tidy and operational. Liaise with staff to ensure setup and execution are handled properly
  • Manage new hire desk setups and office workspace maintenance
  • Liaise with our staff on all their office-related needs. You will become an integral part of our culture, and our team
  • Keep us fun! Support all staff-related events and needs including but not limited to: monthly birthday and anniversary celebrations, team events, celebrations, employee life milestones, etc.
  • Be a leader and brand ambassador inside and outside Glen Echo Group

Essential Skills:

  • At least 2-4 years experience in an office management, support, or assistant role of a similar nature
  • Experience with Google Workspace
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, creative environment. No task is too small 
  • Ability to think ahead, with a proven track record of problem solving and ability to work well with others
  • Strong communication skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized at all times - checklists are your best friend and prioritization is second nature to you!
  • Desire to work with a fun and committed team

Working at Glen Echo Group

This is a part-time position with between 25 and 30 hours weekly. The pay range for this position is $30 - $35 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on relevant experience.
