Key Responsibilities
1) Primarily responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness in preparation of periodic financial & MIS reporting (for internal as well as external reporting).
2) Handle book closure for IFRS 16, intercompany related matters along with other monthly/quarterly book closure reconciliations.
3) Review of accounting activities for critical cost items in financials.
4) Act as a subject matter expert for accounting & financial reporting in the organization.
5) Undertake projects to make the finance function process-driven and scalable - this will include implementing process improvements, implementing frameworks, and/or technology solutions across different finance processes
6) Assess the risk & control environment across processes and implement necessary controls as may be needed to ensure the presence of a robust risk & control posture in the organization
7) Assist in audits, due diligence and any other ad-hoc finance project which is time-sensitive and critical to the organization
Requirements
1) Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience.
2) In-depth knowledge of IFRS/Ind AS, accounting principles and financial reporting guidelines.
3) Proven work experience in financial & MIS reporting.
4) Experience in process improvements, automation, and risk & controls management is desirable. Working knowledge of business finance is an added advantage.
5) Capability in interfacing with product, business and analytics teams within the organization.
6) Ability to work independently with limited supervision, a strong sense of ownership and a problem-solving mindset.
7) Effective written and verbal communication skills.
8) Proficient in ERP environment ( MSD, SAP etc)
9) Proficient in MS Excel/Google Sheets. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
