Givens Great Laurels is looking for a full-time Resident Services Coordinator to support our Waynesville based Affordable Community. As the Resident Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for the creation, implementation and coordination of supportive service delivery to the residents of Givens Affordable Communities elderly/disabled/special needs populations. The Resident Services Coordinator is an essential part of the Givens Affordable Communities Supportive Services Team including the Property Managers, Affordable Communities Vice President, Director of Property Management, and the Director of LifeMinistries.
What you'll do:
- Determine individual client needs and make appropriate referrals for medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, education, transportation, vocational, socioeconomic, and leisure needs
- Conduct regular community assessments to determine service needs of property residents
- Work in advocacy efforts for residents
- Complete documentation of activities and services rendered to residents each day in the American Association of Service Coordinators documentation system
- Plan, create and implement on-site programming and community events that promote whole-person wellness, self-sufficiency, creativity, and diverse social engagement opportunities
- Market and recruit participants for program and service delivery through the creation of monthly calendars, flyers, newsletter and social media posts
- Complete comprehensive Monthly Production reports and ensure timely submission
- In collaboration with Community Manager engage in Eviction Prevention mediation to resolve issues and retain qualified residents
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor
What you'll need:
- 1-3 years previous experience working in the Social Work field or related Human Services field
- Experience providing case management services preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a Social Work or related Human Services field is required
- Fair Housing and Section 504/ADA certification desired, or willing to be trained once hired
Compensation is $25 - $26 per hour, based on background and experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package.
