Givens Estates is looking for a full-time Life Enrichment Manager to join our team! Our philosophy of vibrant aging is built on the belief that staying active and engaged improves one’s quality of life. As the Life Enrichment Manager, you will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to oversee holistic wellness programs across our campus, with a focus on the seven dimensions of wellness: emotional, vocational, physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, and environmental. You’ll ensure that resident, primarily in Independent Living have access to engaging and diverse programs that enhance their overall well-being.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and coordinate engaging wellness programs in collaboration with the Life Enrichment Director and other Givens departments
  • Supervise Life Enrichment staff, including scheduling, training, and managing time clock reports to meet regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a dynamic monthly events calendar for residents
  • Manage the production of the weekly “Gazette” newsletter and contribute content as needed
  • Maintain amenity spaces (indoor and outdoor) and oversee aquatic and fitness programming
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and assimilation, working with both Independent Living and Health Services life enrichment staff
  • Act as a staff liaison to resident boards and committees, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Lead group or individual life enrichment programs and support resident interest groups.
  • Organize off-campus events and overnight trips, managing transportation logistics
  • Assist with resident orientations and address psychosocial needs in collaboration with the Social Services Director
  • Participate in department and campus-wide meetings, contributing to the overall mission of Givens

 

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Work with Talent Acquisition to help hire, onboard, and train Life Enrichment staff within budgeted guidelines
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage staff schedules, and ensure adherence to the department’s annual budget
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Health Services and other departments to ensure resident wellness goals are met
  • Ensure compliance with Givens’ policies and procedures

What you’ll need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in gerontology, health promotion, recreational therapy, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience working with older adults, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Creativity and passion for planning diverse, engaging events and programs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with computers and software like EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • A valid NC Driver’s License and a clean driving record

 

Compensation is $23.00 - $27.00 an hour, based on experience. Plus, our comprehensive benefits package!
