Givens Estates is looking for a Resident Services Director to support our Social Workers and Spiritual Care teams. The primary function of this role is to meet the psychosocial and wellness needs of residents. This position coordinates the new resident orientation process, provides supervision for the Social Services staff for all levels of care on campus, will serve as the liaison between Administration and Residents, and will be responsible for nurturing the continuous evolution and improvement of Resident Services at Givens Estates.

What you'll do:

  • Implement and evaluate planned social services interventions, both on group levels and in one-to-one settings
  • Work closely with the Health Services Director to ensure that the needs of residents in health services settings are being met in accordance with regulations
  • Ensure that resident services is actively participating in appropriate health services meetings
  • Develop, update, and implement policies & procedures that relate to the psychosocial needs of residents in a timely matter
  • Advocate for and uphold Residents’ Rights including documentation and follow-up on resident and/or family complaints or grievances
  • Provide support and counsel residents during crises/death of spouse and friends, and provide for family interventions when working with adult children of residents
  • Act as a community resource for residents and coordinate services to be offered on campus for residents to assist them to live independently
  • Develops annual budgets for respective departments and monitors on a monthly basis
  • Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

What you'll need:

  • Four-year college degree with concentration in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or related field
  • Must be able to utilize good time-management skills to meet programming, implementation, and counseling needs of residents
  • Computer literate: database, spreadsheet and Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the health care system and levels of care

Compensation starts at $75k per year, based on background and experience, and includes our comprehensive benefits package
