GitHub is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Authorization team.

This team is part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) at GitHub and are responsible for all things authorization. We build and maintain the services and APIs that are used by other GitHub teams to manage access control for GitHub Product features, like Pull Requests and Projects.

The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable working in the context of both monoliths and micro-services. They don’t shy away from hard problems, and have a strong sense of customer empathy. They are comfortable working closely with engineers at all levels as well as product managers.

^{Required Qualifications}

Several years of software engineering experience
Several years experience building high-traffic applications
Several years experience leading a team of engineers on projects from start to finish
Several years experience designing and building large-scale services

^{Preferred Qualifications}

Experience in Golang, Ruby/Rails
Experience in IAM space
Familiar with ABAC/RBAC authorization concepts
Comfortable in delivering large ambitious projects using iterative deliverables.
Strong track record of delivering projects

Location: In this role, you can work remotely from anywhere in the following Canadian provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario
