About The Role: 

We seek an experienced and highly motivated business consultant to join our team part-time as a proposal specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in securing government and commercial contracts by leading the development of compelling and competitive proposals for their projects. Your expertise in navigating the complexities of NASA/DoD solicitations and your ability to articulate our value proposition will be essential to our success.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze solicitations, identify requirements, and develop comprehensive proposal outlines that address all evaluation criteria
  • Create clear, concise, and persuasive proposal sections that highlight our strengths, capabilities, and unique value proposition
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure timely completion of all proposal components
  • Maintain strict adherence to government guidelines, formatting requirements, and submission deadlines
  • Conduct research on the competitive landscape, identify potential partners, and contribute to the development of innovative proposal strategies
  • Analyze past performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the refinement of our proposal development processes

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in developing winning proposals for government projects, with a strong understanding of the procurement processes and regulations
  • A solid understanding of the space industry, current trends, and NASA/DoD's strategic priorities
  • Superior ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner
  • Ability to analyze solicitations, identify key requirements, and develop comprehensive proposal outlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Existing relationships with key personnel for government/commercial space projects
  • Experience with specific NASA/DoD programs or initiatives

Location and Position Type:

  • Remote
  • Part-Time

Pay Range:

  • $100-$250/hr
  • Compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration factors such as relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
