About The Role: 

As a member of the Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process and closely collaborating with the engineering and accounting team to achieve important milestones in a fast paced startup environment. You will also be responsible for organizing and maintaining inventory in the daily shipping and receiving operations, which enables our engineers and technicians to assemble and test our in-house space robot responsibly.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the end-to-end operations for the purchasing cycle of specific parts such as consumable items, off-the-shelf/catalog components, and repeat orders for specific vendors based on engineers needs, for which procedures have already been established
  • Perform inventory check and report the number of the items as part of the daily routine, and follow the ordering standards and place additional orders for items that are in short supply
  • Prepare assembly kits for the manufacturing based on the existing picking lists
  • Provide equipment and furniture rental and purchase operations for manufacturing, assembly and R&D as requested by engineers and technicians
  • Record the paperwork for purchasing items in a timely manner in the purchasing software, and keep the information registered in the software service up to date
  • Track receiving and shipping logistics information related to daily procurement operations, and work with customs agents and transport companies as necessary to ensure on-time and reliable delivery
  • Engage in organizing and maintaining the office environment and 5S practices to enhance workplace efficiency

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields, or Associate's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in purchasing and/or facilities management in small engineering organizations
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, email, and several communication software tools such as Slack and Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the attention to details
  • Ability to reliably perform routine tasks

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to build efficient business operations by making full use of extended functionality of various software tools
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Exposure to procurement processes (purchasing/inventory planning expertise favorable)
  • Prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing and a wide variety of prototypes

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on weekends as necessary, depending on the work schedule

Regular Work Hours:

  • 9 am - 6 pm

Salary Range:

  • $22 - $35/h 
  • Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
