Logistics & Fulfillment Manager
As Giga Energy’s Logistics & Fulfillment Manager, you will be responsible for Giga Energy’s logistics and order fulfillment. Your main focus will be coordinating the end-to-end fulfillment process of international and domestic shipments. In order to be successful, you must interface with a variety of external vendors including freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean freight companies, airlines, trucking companies, and trucking brokers. You must also work closely with Giga Energy’s sales, manufacturing, operations, and finance teams to ensure shipments are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, as the fulfillment manager you will be responsible for all customer communication and order status updates from order confirmation to product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Operations management
- Oversee all aspects of the mining operation, including equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure smooth operations and maximize mining efficiency
- Monitor mining performance metrics and implement strategies to optimize hash rate and profitability
- Team Leadership
- Lead a team of technicians responsible for equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
- Provide training and guidance to team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational best practices
- Power System Optimization: Manage off-grid power systems, including solar, wind, or hybrid systems, to ensure reliable and efficient power supply to the mining operation
- Implement strategies to maximize power generation and usage efficiency, optimizing for cost-effectiveness and sustainability
- Troubleshoot power system issues and coordinate with external vendors for repairs and upgrades as needed
- Risk Management
- Identify potential risks to the mining operation, such as equipment failures, power outages, or security breaches, and develop mitigation plans
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to bitcoin mining and off-grid power systems
- Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare regular reports on mining performance, power usage, and operational expenses for management review
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in mining efficiency and profitability
Preferences
- Proven experience in bitcoin mining operations, with a strong understanding of bitcoin mining algorithms and hardware
- Extensive knowledge of off-grid power systems, including natural gas generators, solar, or wind technologies
- Previous experience managing a team in a technical or engineering environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges in remote off-grid locations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with industry-standard mining software and monitoring tools
