Logistics Coordinator
As Giga Energy’s Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for Giga Energy’s logistics and order fulfillment. Your main focus will be coordinating the end-to-end fulfillment process of international and domestic shipments. In order to be successful, you must interface with a variety of external vendors including freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean freight companies, airlines, trucking companies, and trucking brokers. You must also work closely with Giga Energy’s sales, manufacturing, operations, and finance teams to ensure shipments are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, as the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for all customer communication and order status updates from order confirmation to product delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, organize, and track multiple shipments at the same time
- Communicate with the manufacturing team to prepare for upcoming shipments
- Communicate with customers during the production and fulfillment process
- Optimize and reduce costs on all shipments
- Coordinate with the finance team to handle all shipping, tariffs, and customs costs
- Work with customs brokers and logistics companies to handle importation, arrival notices, customs documents, and payments
- Foster strong relationships with team members both overseas and domestically
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain
- Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions to enhance tracking, visibility, and overall efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics management, with a track record of successful supply chain optimization
- Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing work assignments in a fast paced work environment
- Can-do attitude and a strong sense of urgency
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
- Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accuracy and reliability in all logistics activities - nothing gets by you!
- Comfortable being on-call beyond typical work hours
Preferences
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics coordination or importation preferred, and/or evidence of broad familiarity with the international and domestic logistics industry
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, inventory management, and vendor relations
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Enthusiasm for the bitcoin or energy industry and/or experience working at a startup preferred
