We are looking for an Account Director with a focus in Experiential who is passionate about expanding the ways people experience brands, to lead as the primary relationship builder between the client and our agency. This person joins a growing team striving to develop inspiring and award winning work for a major retailer client. They will be responsible for developing and executing innovative experiential work that reaches diverse, national audiences.

The ideal candidate should be prepared to work on one brand with multiple projects and work streams happening simultaneously. They take care of the day-to-day needs of the brand and seize opportunities to grow the client relationship. They are constantly looking for ways to make operations within the experiential group more efficient and improve the model or framework they are working within. We are looking for someone who is ready to become a Spoon - to give a damn, try anything, and enjoy the people they are working with.

This role will be working out of our NY office on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Responsibilities

  • Lead management of the day-to-day client relationship and constantly identify and streamline workflow
  • Manage client expectations and anticipate client needs for short-term and long-term projects
  • Supervise and develop more junior account team members, and partner with an interdisciplinary team of producers, creatives, and designers 
  • Develop and manage staffing plan to ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilization as well as budget development and approval
  • Report on activation performance with the ability to distill and curate insights and findings
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends and cultural application in experiential activations, curious about what’s next

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a comparable role, ideally in an agency environment
  • Experience in presenting and owning conversations with clients both directly and as part of an inter-agency environment
  • Exposure to/participation in activations at industry events such as CES, SXSW, Cannes, etc.
  • Experience working on both experiential and fully-integrated campaigns
  • Track record of applying cultural trends and new media opportunities to client business
  • Strong analytic and strategic abilities
  • Resourceful, proactive and buttoned-up management skills; comfortable with delegation
  • Effective written, verbal, and visual communicator
  • Ability to craft internal / external presentations and present in an engaging way
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that encourage cross-coastal team collaboration, and foster trust with clients and teammates.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location.
