This role will play an integral role in developing, implementing, and maintaining Global Atlantic’s Enterprise Operational Risk Framework. The successful candidate will have opportunities to interact with senior leadership and to collaborate with colleagues across the firm; as such, he/she must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal effectiveness, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to details, as well as possess analytical aptitude. The successful candidate typically excels in a dynamic work environment and can take on a diverse set of responsibilities while delivering quality results. As part of a growing Company and team, the successful candidate will have opportunities to collaborate with and learn from the broader Risk organization. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to one or more of the below areas:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Model Risk Management

  • Maintaining the model catalog including model risk scores.
  • Reviewing model documentation and controls to ensure alignment with expectations.
  • Assisting with oversight of model validation efforts including implementation of subsequent improvements.

Third Party Risk Management

  • Assisting with oversight of third-party risks and controls.
  • Assisting with development of key risk indicators.
  • Preparing management reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience; familiarity with enterprise/operational/model/third-party risk frameworks
  • Excellent project management/organizational skills with demonstrated skill in managing competing priorities
  • Proven track record of exceptional client / stakeholder management; ability to influence team members inside and outside of immediate areas of responsibility and from a wide range of organizational backgrounds
  • Ability to take on projects that cover new ground for the team and the company; ability to work remotely across multiple geographies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Prior consulting experience a plus
  • Familiarity with insurance statutory (STAT) and/or U.S. GAAP accounting standards and/or familiarity with insurance company asset profiles a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); proficiency in Tableau a strong plus
