What we’re looking for
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will take the role of technical lead either in the product journey or in the platform team, based on your interest and skill set. The product journey team owns the end to end user journey experience, from landing on our website, discovering products, adding a product to the cart, checking out, emails, sending the product back, retention and referral strategies, and many more. You will work closely in a dynamic cross functional team, with one PM, two Designers, one Grow Marketeers and one other engineer. You will own the storefront head and the whole customer journey automation.
The platform team owns the backbone of our tech stack and the products for internal Yuno users, serving to other teams the technologies they need to perform their work effectively. You will work closely in a technical team, with one PO and one other engineer. You will own the core of the tech stack, the headless eCommerce, the subscription logic, the CRM, the integrations with the logistic provider and ERP system.
By unlocking a Series B investment, we are entering a high-growth phase that makes our current low-code/no-code tech stack obsolete. Your first task is to contribute to the architecture design of the new platform with a greenfield approach, and the following data migration strategy design and execution. Therefore you jump straight away into shaping Yuno’s future.
Responsibilities
- Own the Technology Stack of your team together with the other engineer
- As we are still a small team, be able to learn fast and leverage your hands on experience, dealing with many different technologies which requires out of the box thinking when it comes to scalability
- Help grow our in-house engineering team, located in Zurich, by coaching and mentoring more junior engineers
- Lead all aspects of the development lifecycle in your team, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance
- Partner with the PM/PO to shape the roadmap, co-creating initiatives and taking care especially (but not exclusively) of the feasibility and implementation of the solution
Requirements
- You have a degree in computer science or a comparable degree
- 5+ years of proven professional web development experience
- You have already been able to demonstrate the ability to be the tech reference in a team, with the technical skills and leadership qualities needed for the position
- Have a proven understanding of best engineering practices for the full software
- development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and maintenance
- You are comfortable with software architectures including database design and REST interfaces
- You have comprehensive knowledge of Frontend technologies and are familiar with Javascript and React
- You are a reliable person who has both analytical skills and a quality-conscious working style
- You are fluent in English

Team
- You’ll be part of the Product & Tech team, alongside Charline (design lead), Marcel (software engineer), Rupert (software engineer) and Alessandro (chief product officer).
- We plan to grow our team further with one more designer, one product managers and one more software engineer in 2023
- We have Tuesday as office day, you can work remotely the other days and work from abroad for some weeks every year
