WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We’re looking for an experienced Product Design Lead who can think strategically in order to set up the Product Design team at Getsafe for future success, and who can also bring the practical delivery know-how to steer cross-functional teams towards elegant solutions that truly and intuitively serve our customers’ needs. 

YOUR MISSION:

As a Product Design Lead at Getsafe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the long-term customer experience within the context of our direct-to-consumer mission, forging the new standard for what insurance can look like.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and leveraging your expertise in design, you will drive the development of engaging insurance experiences that resonate with our customers.

Simultaneously, you will continue the process of building a best-in-class Product Design team that is setting its own benchmark for design excellence.  

In summary, you will take care of the following:

  • Guiding multiple dynamic, strategic projects, collaborating closely with the team throughout all phases of product development—from initial evaluation of requirements to roadmap creation, design execution, and deployment.
  • Mentoring and guiding fellow product designers to unlock the full potential of our design team, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Playing an active role in crafting seamless end-to-end user experiences, simplifying intricate technical aspects for user comprehension.
  • Establishing and cultivating a robust design process within the team, which includes maintaining a comprehensive design system and actively contributing to product strategy.
  • Being a vocal advocate for users and championing human-centric design principles in cross-functional meetings, ensuring user needs remain at the forefront of decision-making.
  • Utilising insights gleaned from user interviews, usability tests, and other research methodologies to inform and drive data-informed design choices.

ABOUT YOU:  

  • You bring significant experience as a part of a high-quality Product Design team, including at least an initial experience leading a Product Design team
  • You have experience working in a customer-first B2C environment
  • You are ambitious; driven by the challenge of redefining industry standards and blazing a trail within the insurance world 
  • You bring a proven track record of delivering products from concept to launch, and beyond
  • You understand the steps required to unlock the potential in a small, talented team, putting the building blocks in place to help that team scale and remain best-in-class
