The Role

This high-impact, highly visible position reports to our VP of People & Talent and involves close collaboration with senior leadership across our purpose driven organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to innovate in a fast-paced, intense environment where hiring excellence and creativity are critical.

Your main focus will be recruiting talent across all teams, and you’ll also take ownership of strategic projects to elevate our hiring processes (e.g refining assessments, enhancing platform efficiencies, advancing employer branding). This role has accountability for hiring predominantly across the UK and the Philippines and could include broader international hiring as we grow.

About You

You’re a values-driven Lead Technical Recruiter with a strong commitment to impactful, agile hiring. You excel in both technical and non-technical recruitment and thrive in a collaborative environment where you partner across teams to achieve ambitious results. For you, hiring is not merely filling roles but building a high-performing, diverse, inclusive and mission-driven organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment across both technical and non-technical teams, sourcing and hiring talent across varied roles such as Software Engineers, Mortgage Brokers, and Customer Support.
  • Continuous Improvement: Track, analyse, and leverage hiring metrics to refine recruitment processes and improve outcomes.
  • Innovation: Be a thought leader on how we can iterate our hiring to maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly changing talent market.
  • Leadership Partnership: Collaborate closely with the leadership team to continuously optimize hiring practices and candidate experience.
  • Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador, growing and engaging your network through events, webinars, and meetups.
  • Builder: You won’t be afraid to re-build processes or approaches we have typically adopted by taking the hard path and re-designing our talent approach where you think it could level up how we approach talent at GetGround

Skills and Experience

  • Technical Recruiting Expertise: Proven experience recruiting Software Engineers in the UK, understand technical hiring challenges, and know how to run impactful hiring campaigns.
  • Startup/Scaleup Experience: You’re comfortable building or iterating hiring processes in flight as well as developing a recruitment engine for the future. You’ve worked in this environment before.
  • Multidisciplinary Hiring: You’ve managed diverse hiring pipelines and thrive when your accountability is broad. You have proven experience of using multiple hiring strategies to deliver.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Maker: You possess strong analytical abilities, using metrics to extract insights and translate them into effective hiring strategies.
  • Diversity & inclusion strategist: You have built diverse pipelines of talent that have enabled your previous organisation to build diverse and inclusive organisations.
