What you'll do:
As a Finance Systems Specialist your key area of responsibility will be supporting Geotab Finance by managing and supporting financial systems, processes, and solutions. Effective collaboration and outstanding communication skills are essential to thrive in this position.
How you'll make an impact
- Support finance system optimization.
- Review data and reports from Finance for consistency and transparency.
- Monitor Finance Team requirements for development and requests for systems support.
- Collaborate with users to ensure best practices for the use of finance systems are implemented.
- Prepare and update documentation for finance systems and processes.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure consistency, integrity and validity of financial data. This includes in-depth financial data analysis and business transaction review and optimization.
- Assist with the migration of data from legacy systems or from systems acquired through M&A to current systems.
- Assist with the design and implementation of new regions/countries from a financial systems perspective.
- Provide support, guidance and training to the finance department on financial systems proficiency and overall process improvement.
- Monitor Finance team members’ compliance with finance compliance tasks.
What you'll bring to the role
- 5+ years in a similar role.
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent proofreading abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions.
- A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Technical competence using ERP software programs.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
