Who you are:

The Senior Segment Campaign Manager is a pivotal role driving the company’s growth trajectory. The Senior Manager's role encompasses identifying opportunities for landing, expanding, and retaining growth within the target segment. This involves developing targeted marketing campaigns and leveraging data analysis to optimize performance and achieve growth objectives. Proactively seeking out future campaign opportunities, the Senior Manager will propose strategic initiatives to the business for the next 1-3 years.  The Senior Manager’s responsibilities will include creating and executing integrated segment marketing campaign strategies aligned with segment-focused revenue objectives, strategic pillars, and product development lifecycles. This role will create segment campaign plan workbooks and deliver strategic annual campaign plans informed by the segment marketing squads with alignment from the segment marketing manager, solution marketing, channel marketing, and business development manager to enable the growth trajectory and bolster the brand's visibility.

The Senior Manager spearheads efforts to lead the conversation, establish expertise, and champion campaigns within the assigned segment;  leveraging in-depth competitive and market analysis, to craft unique segment campaigns that highlight Geotab's distinctive strengths and value proposition to attract right-fit leads.  The role will drive cross-functional collaboration, fostering synergy among various teams to bring campaign strategies to fruition. The Senior Manager will empower our creative team and external agencies to breathe life into these strategies, ensuring our marketing efforts stand out in a crowded landscape.

The role is full-funnel marketing, driving conversions, promoting innovative solutions, and managing demand generation. The Senior Manager will act as the linchpin for all lead sources, collaborating closely with sales to nurture leads and elevate the revenue pipeline to align with KPAs. Additionally, the Senior Manager will be a savvy budget manager, continuously optimizing spend, conducting ROI analysis, and tracking key campaign performance metrics against KPAs. The Senior Manager’s adaptability will shine as they navigate diverse projects and deadlines in the dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

What you'll do:

  • Lead the design, build, implement, and management of the segment campaigns and their associate workflows, including ownership of the campaign planning workbook and strategic annual campaign plan to drive new customer acquisition, existing account expansion, and retention of existing customer base.
  • Identify opportunities to land, expand, retain growth within the target segment to develop targeted marketing campaigns, and analyze data to optimize performance and achieve growth objectives, while proactively keeping an eye out for the next big 1-3 year campaign opportunities to propose back to the business.
  • Lead agencies, vendors and other internal departments executing advertising planning, full funnel content, social media, success stories, association membership sponsorships, events, webinars, podcasts, and channel and partner program support, so that segment campaign objectives can be met effectively. 
  • Work with content, creative, digital and sales teams to deliver ABM aligned to campaign plans.
  • Lead segment campaign planning for Geotabs annual customer and partner conference “Connect” with segment campaign plans and programs.
  • Serve as a thought leader, subject matter expert and lead campaign advocate within the assigned segment and leverage competitive/market analysis to create differentiated segment campaigns and messages that clarify Geotab distinctive competencies and value proposition to attract right-fit leads.
  • Partner with segment marketing, solution marketing, channel marketing and business development to ensure alignment of segment campaign strategies with the overall segment business goals.
  • Maintain Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and continuously develop buyer personas to inform campaign/content strategy at the segment and targeted account level.
  • Spearheads efforts to lead the conversation, establish expertise, and champion campaigns within the assigned segment;  leveraging in-depth competitive and market analysis, to craft unique segment campaigns that highlight Geotab's distinctive strengths and value proposition to attract right-fit leads
  • Work with Marketing Automation, Revenue Operations and Sales teams to develop digital nurturing campaigns optimizing marketing qualification methodology for pass-thru of leads to resellers/channel partners and develop a strong command of the leads management pipeline from MAL through to closed won/lost.
  • Against KPAs, forecast and continuously monitor and analyze metrics associated with campaigns to inform future campaign plans and diversity of programs based on what's working/isn’t, budget management, marketing ROI analysis and performance tracking and optimization.
  • Be an engine for evolution and positive change by focusing on continuous skills development, and identifying/ improving campaign processes and tools.

How you'll make an impact

  • Previous sector/segments experience in the Public Sector- government, smart city, transportation planning and management, ITS -aggregate interconnected insights primarily or Electric Vehicle, Sustainable Fleet Solutions, Transportation and Logistics, Field Services, Vocational, Rental or comparable industries is REQUIRED for this role.
  • Previous experience in telematics, connected transportation solutions, B2B IT or software industry marketing,  or comparable experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated marketing campaign strategy development and execution with measurable outcomes and data-driven analytical approach to decision-making.
  • Proficient in account-based marketing (ABM) and persona targeting high value prospects with ABM platforms such as 6sense, Demandbase or Zoominfo preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead, influence and work across organizational boundaries with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Adaptability and able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
  • Understanding of agile marketing is considered an asset.
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfortable in a flat organization.
  • Must stay relevant to technology,  and should have the flexibility to adapt to the growing technology and market demands.
  • Technical competence using workflow tools (WRIKE, Jira), software and CRM programs, AI tools e.g. Google (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Chat GPT etc..

What you'll bring to the role

  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in a marketing campaign strategy role with preference at a B2B SaaS organization.
  • 3+ years experience in B2B Marketing in the assigned sector/segments.
