About GenScript ProBio

GenScript ProBio is the subsidiary of GenScript Biotech Corporation, proactively providing end-to-end CDMO service from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy (CGT), vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drug to accelerate drug development for customers. GenScript ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing. In terms of plasmid service, GenScript ProBio supports the most clinical approvals for CGT drugs including mRNA vaccines, CAR-T in China. Job Scope:

As a Production Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. You will lead a team of production technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to maximize productivity and meet production targets. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

 

Reports to: Senior Production Manager

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the project manager in addressing customer inquiries regarding On-Time Delivery (OTD) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), providing updates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Track, trend, and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the group, including Revenue, Gross Profit, Turnaround Time, On-time Delivery, One-time Success Rate, and Effective Complaint Resolution.
  • Lead and supervise a team of production technicians to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to production technicians, assisting with setup, operation, and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Monitor production processes and quality control measures to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to resolve technical issues and improve overall production performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs for production technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge of production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory levels, equipment maintenance, and employee performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree Biology or Chemistry related field.
  • Previous experience in a production leadership role or similar position within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical skills with knowledge of production equipment and processes.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and develop a team.
  •   Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office and production management software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards relevant to the industry.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support production operations.
  • Experience working with mRNA is a plus.
