Description

The role holder needs excellent knowledge of the sports rights, betting and technology market across the world combined with a strong LATAM contact book with focus in Brazil and Southern Cone. They will have a proven track record of consistently achieving challenging sales targets and will need to demonstrate an ability to discover and understand client requirements and match products and services to those requirements.

They will be required to immerse themselves within the industry and to understand all technological and regulatory developments. 

They need to demonstrate an ability to think creatively with regard to commercial arrangements and have excellent numerical, written and presentation skills.

Role Purpose

  1. Maximizing new business development opportunities
  2. Assisting to grow and maintain existing LATAM relationships
  3. Identifying new LATAM markets and opportunities for sale of our services
  4. Provide strategic commercial planning
  5. Identifying key opportunities for product growth in the sports industry and liasing with the product team to develop those opportunities
  6. Attending client meetings and LATAM conferences

This will entail:

  • A 100% commercial focus
  • Betting sales and rights acquisition activity within the LATAM region (with a particular focus on Southern Cone and Brazil)
  • Analyzing prospective rights value and driving new sales and revenue opportunities through negotiations with sports rights holders and with medium to large betting operators in LATAM
  • Compile full market research report on other LATAM territories of interest, number and names of operators etc
  • Provide fortnightly progress reports on conversations, new entrants to market and updates on key players in both the sports and betting market
  • Maintaining existing relationships with current customers in region
  • Effective use of sales tools (i.e. Salesforce and Power BI)

Qualifications & Experience Desired

  • Must have existing experience/ knowledge of the Brazilian market -particularly in betting and/or sports
  • Commercial graduate (or higher) level qualification
  • A track record of successfully over-achieving sales / rights / commercial targets
  • Strong existing relationships and experience in sports, betting and media industries within the Southern Cone and Brazil
  • Experience in conducting and negotiating commercial agreements, often resolving conflicting needs of respective parties
  • A clear priority in providing excellence in customer service
  • Relationship management and strong networking skills
  • Understanding of the sports technical/data and commercialization space, with the ability to embrace and quickly adapt to new technologies and opportunities
  • Understanding of and a passion for sports, in particular soccer, basketball and volleyball
  • End-to-end sales/acquisition cycle management in a B2B environment
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills as well as high quality attention to detail
  • 1-2 years’ experience within iGaming and Sports Industry
  • Driven and independent individual with the proven ability to problem solve and drive issues through to a timely resolution
  • Languages required: English, Portuguese and Spanish
