Genius is searching for an Artist Relations Associate to join our team of talent bookers and interviewers. The person will have a hand in planning, producing and publishing Genius’ industry leading video content.
The ideal candidate can identify trending and substantive music from artists in Hip-Hop, R&B, pop, Latinx and the K-Pop space to pitch to the internal team. The position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with artists, labels and management teams; as well as be able to interview artists about their creative process.
This is a remote role but this person will be responsible for attending shoots in our Brooklyn, NY office.

Book talent for original Genius content, especially Genius video series.
Collaborate with the VP of Content Strategy and team stakeholders on artist targeting and content development.
Conduct and ensure the quality of artist interviews and content for core series.
Develop relationships with labels & artists, and identify and connect with emerging artists to collaborate with Genius.
Maintain systems for tracking artists relationships and content publishing.
Aid with pre-production, research when needed.
Contribute towards quarterly and yearly traffic goals.
Respond to inbound artist request emails.
3+ years experience in music industry or media, especially working with artists
Deep knowledge of and passion for a wide variety of music genres, particularly pop and hip-hop
Highly organized and skilled project manager
Fluent in the culture of social media and online communities
A Genius account and understanding of Genius knowledge project and brand
Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment
