JOB SUMMARY

Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.  This includes managing both the candidate experience and internal hiring team’s involvement in Genezen’s interviewing and hiring procedures.  As the first contact potential candidates have with the company, this person is an enthusiastic representation of Genezen’s culture and employee experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work with Director of HR to establish recruiting requirements, led by organization plans and objectives
  • Collaborate with department managers on a regular basis and proactively identify future hiring needs, aligning all efforts with the hiring budget
  • Attract and recruit candidates using various sources, like social media networks, employee referrals, searching professional databases, etc.
  • Work with managers to finalize job descriptions, build out objectives and key results, define competencies, and build job posts in Genezen’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Manage relationships and projects with external recruiting vendors as necessary
  • Perform initial screen of candidate resumes and job applications
  • Conduct initial HR screen interviews, assessing applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, culture fit, experience, and aptitude
  • Arrange management and on-site interviews through ATS by coordinating schedules, communicating travel and interview details with candidate, communicating interview details with internal team, preparing onsite location, and escorting applicant to interviews
  • Help hiring team evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications and interviewing on a consistent set of qualifications
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring job offers and compensation practices, and emphasizing benefits and perks
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation, enforcing regulations with managers, recommending new procedures, and conducting training.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks
  • Assist Director of HR with employee preboarding and onboarding procedures as requested
