Even before the pandemic, more than 75 million young adults were out of work globally, and three times as many were underemployed—and 375 million workers of all ages needed to learn new skills by 2030. At the same time, certain jobs remain in high-demand, and 40 percent of employers say a skills shortage leaves them with entry-level vacancies. To date, more than 38,000 people have graduated from Generation programs, which prepare them for meaningful careers in 14 countries. Generation works with more than 3,900 employer partners and many implementation partners and funders.


Generation USA is seeking a Director of Program Quality who will ensure program quality and model fidelity across its currently operating sites. We’re looking for a leader who embodies our organization’s core values. More specifically, we’re seeking a teammate who is passionate about achieving our mission, has a strong ability to work with a geographically diverse team, a track record of effectively managing large-scale programs, is a strong collaborator and is committed to continuous improvement personally and for the organization. 

This is a full-time and fully remote position.


Program Quality at Scale 

  • Establish and oversee performance monitoring systems, evaluation and research projects through articulation of a set of standards, guidelines, processes
  • Establish protocols and guidance for implementing quality assurance interventions.
  • Communicate new PQ tools and processes to Generation teams and Program Delivery Partners
  • Maintain and evolve the Generation Learner Handbook, Learner Agreement and Program Playbook, supporting teams and stakeholders to adopt them as needed.
  • Collect and evaluate data before, during, and after programs to identify lessons learned and any additional support for program teams.
  • Pilot digitized solutions for quality assurance, including the creation of protocols, best practices, and resources to support adoption 

Program Data Management & Dashboards

  • Create data management system / Dashboards for to measure program quality
  • Analyze reports at the cohort, program and country level to identify program quality issues.
  • Support the facilitation of monthly and quarterly meetings with the Curriculum & Instruction and Learner Services teams to analyze trends in and determine adaptations.
  • Disaggregate and share Program Quality data with relevant Generation teams and PDPs
  • Conduct verification of attendance, drops, no shows, graduation requirements during programs.

Program Monitoring  and Intervention 

  • Conduct quality control check-ins with PQ Coordinators 
  • Work with outside stakeholders to coordinate evaluation and quality improvement plans
  • Conduct verification of attendance, drops, no shows, graduation requirements during programs.
  • Provide regional program support 
  • Oversee management of learner issues and conflicts during the program
  • Manage and support a team of PQ Coordinators

  • Experience of starting / running a skills training related organization and knowledge of the non-profit landscape is preferable and but not required
