SUMMARY

We are seeking a certified Workday Configuration Specialist and Administrator to join our Human Resources team. As the internal subject matter expert on Workday, the ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Workday implementation, configuration, and administration, with a strong focus on Workday Payroll and HRIS. In addition to managing all activities related to design, configuration, testing, data validation, and deploying new Workday features, this role will also manage data analytics, including the creation of dashboards and supporting data requests.

 

This role will serve as a consultative partner to the HR Centers of Excellence in service delivery and provide technical support to end users by troubleshooting issues.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES          

The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:

  • Lead and manage the design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Workday Payroll, HRIS system and other HRIS Technology solutions (e.g., Greenhouse, 15Five).
  • Configure Workday system settings, including business processes, security, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring the system meets business needs.
  • Maintain and support the ongoing administration of the Workday platform.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, providing user support and training as needed.
  • Ensure system compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Work with Audit teams to ensure all key controls are met.
  • Serve as a key part of our Workday payroll integration project. Implement and maintain payroll integrations and configurations.
  • Oversee data analytics functions, creating and maintaining dashboards and reports.
  • Support data requests from various departments, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Utilize Workday reporting tools to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

 

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Workday HCM Certification is required.
  • At least 3 years of extensive Workday HCM Technical experience.
  • Proven experience in Workday design, configuration, implementation and administration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workday business process framework, calculated fields, configurable security and advanced reporting.
  • Strong expertise in Workday payroll, including payroll processing and compliance.
  • Experience with data analytics, dashboard creation, and reporting within Workday.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be confidential and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to listen effectively and actively engage team members, identifying opportunities for enhancements/optimization and articulating these opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with additional Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Finance).
  • Experience in project management or leading Workday projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday reporting tools and data visualization techniques.
  • Candidates should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • This position may require occasional travel for training and conferences.
