Gatik’s Class 3-7 autonomous box trucks are commercially deployed in multiple markets including Texas, Arkansas, and Ontario, Canada.

About the role

Gatik is seeking a highly skilled and creative Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in helping to bring Gatik’s message to life for investors, media, customers and our social media audiences. Taking direction from the company’s overarching goals, and in partnership with the Vice President, Marketing & Communications, the Head of Communications and our leadership team, this role is responsible for crafting compelling visuals across a variety of media to support the effective communication of Gatik’s brand values, product portfolio, technical capabilities and overall value proposition. 

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in creating compelling investor presentations, marketing slides, explainer graphics as well as animations and illustrations. This role requires a blend of artistic talent, technical proficiency, and a strong understanding of business and marketing objectives.

This is a growth-oriented role in the team which will have the opportunity to contribute to category-defining brand and communications programs as Gatik scales its operations in the coming years.

This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office!
 
What you'll do
  • Design and produce high-impact presentations that effectively communicate complex data and strategic insights to potential investors. Ensure presentations are visually engaging and align with Gatik’s brand guidelines and focus on clarity, impact, and alignment with Gatik’s core strategies.
  • Develop clear and engaging explainer graphics and content to simplify complex concepts and showcase our solutions effectively. Utilize a range of visual styles to match different messaging needs.
  • Design and produce animations and motion graphics to enhance digital content, including explainer videos, social media content, and web assets. Ensure animations are smooth, professional, and aligned with the Gatik’s branding.
  • Create custom illustrations to support marketing materials, product launch activities, and other visual content. Bring creativity and originality to all design projects.
  • Work closely with the marketing team, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet business goals. Provide creative input and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Maintain high standards of design quality and ensure all deliverables are polished, error-free, and consistent with brand guidelines. Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance design processes and innovate in visual communication to ensure Gatik stays at the forefront of new aesthetic trends. 

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in investor presentations, marketing slides, explainer graphics, animations, and illustrations.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), and other relevant design tools. Experience with animation software (e.g., Adobe Animate, Blender) is a plus.
  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate complex ideas into visually engaging content. Ability to add written commentary to design visuals is a bonus, but not required
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present and justify design choices effectively to stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage workload to strict deadlines and operate effectively under remote management.
  • Team player and creative thinker
  • A track record of personal accountability, strong work ethic, integrity, and organizational skills
