We’re looking for a Head of Health Plan Partnerships to join our executive team and build out the firm’s health plan sales process. Garner already has a fast-growing product sold through healthcare brokers to employers. As a next step in building its national footprint, Garner needs to translate the strong interest it has from many health plans into tangible partnerships that drive sales results. The Head of Plan Partnerships will lead this effort for the firm, spearheading our relationships and distribution strategy to health plans across the country. We’re looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset and an interest in building out our relationships with these key stakeholders from the ground up.

Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is also available for individuals who are comfortable with remote work and some travel for sales and to HQ.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Build out and own Garner’s distribution model to health plans of all sizes including owning the economic model and sales process.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with both regional and national health insurers.
  • Grow and develop Garner’s brand / presence within the health plan community. 
  • Partner with the CEO to develop the company’s strategic distribution strategy.
  • Do what’s necessary to execute and hit annual membership goals.

The ideal candidate has:

  • 8+ years in sales leadership role with revenue responsibilities
  • Deep experience working with or for insurers offering major medical plans
  • Existing relationships within the health insurance community across many different plans
  • A desire to work in a rapidly evolving startup environment with notable upside
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system
