We are looking for a Lead Machine Learning Research Engineer to join our team to lead a group of top ML researchers and work with them in formulating advanced techniques and algorithms to aid a user in creating better datasets for ML.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of top Machine Learning researchers in creating algorithms and techniques for automatically surfacing data quality issues in ML datasets
- Work with the team to research and productionize advanced techniques and data-centric algorithms
- Own a technical charter for the Machine Learning team and ensure that the team's work aligns with the company's goals and objectives
- Collaborate with product management to understand the product vision and use cases, and accordingly shape the ML research charter
- Stay up-to-date with the latest literature in Machine Learning and apply them to Galileo's product offerings
- Lead code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members
- Work with Platform Engineering and Frontend teams, to ensure that the delivery of robust ML algorithms from research to solve for our users’ needs.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning and leading multiple ML initiatives
- Strong experience with Pytorch, TensorFlow, Keras, and other Deep Learning frameworks is a must
- Experience with classic ML techniques such as decision trees such as XGBoost and Random Forests and structured data ML techniques is a big bonus
- Excellent programming skills in Python, with the ability to write efficient, clean, and scalable code
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Multi-Modal ML experience
- Strong understanding of data quality and data selection techniques and their applications in Machine Learning
