About The New Client Solutions and Data Partnerships Role: 
 
This role will be housed within Gain Theory’s New Client Solutions and Data Partnership division. Our approach is to move beyond products that simply deliver facts and figures to solutions that influence decisions and drive enthusiasm to act.  New Client Solutions and Data Partnerships is the team that develops our new, client-ready, measurement solutions and identifies, negotiates, and manages our data and tech partnerships that help power these solutions (e.g., media partners, point-of-sale data partners, tech and platform partners, etc.). We maintain a robust and vibrant partner ecosystem to meet the current and future needs of our diverse client roster.  We also have an active voice in WPP’s broader partnership ecosystem ensuring Gain Theory’s vision and business needs are reflected at the highest levels in our broader organization. 

Who would be a Good Fit: 

We are looking for an individual that understands the data, analyses, and tools of Marketing, understands where the marketplace is going and approaches delivery of results through the eyes of the client (e.g., what insights will help the client drive their business forward?).  A person who is influential because, the role is highly visible as it will be connecting and translating the business needs or our clients with our world class analytics tools and solutions.  Consulting, partnership, excellent communication and project management will be the hallmarks of the ideal candidate beyond the prerequisite problem-solving skills and general understanding of how Marketing organizations function and use analytics to solve everyday challenges. 

This individual should be acquainted with, but not necessarily a deep practitioner of, many of the Marketing Analytic disciplines currently employed by sophisticated companies across industries and around the world including MMM, Attribution, Scenario Planning and Optimization, and Audience Segmentation/Activation. A standout candidate will be someone who exhibit high emotional intelligence and integrity, one who can build deep consultative partnerships with business stakeholders. Additionally, this individual should have a well-defined track record of helping direct reports grow their capabilities, responsibilities, and careers. What you'll do:

This manage role in New Client Solutions and Data Partnerships will be responsible for identifying, growing, and maintaining partnerships in support of our products and solutions. Considered an integral part of the broader Client Operations team, you will utilize your influence to drive results, frequently turning distinct solutions into best practices that can be implemented across the globe. Keeping the pulse on organizational capabilities, you will deliver direction, vision, and leadership to improve our solutions in the service of our clients.  

  • Partner with our Client Teams to develop a strategic roadmap to drive increased adoption of Gain Theory’s growing product suite  

  • Uncovers current and future business needs and identifies areas of opportunity for growth  

  • Support Gain Theory’s Global Partnership program; identify, negotiate, contract, integrate, manage, optimize, and rationalize data partners to support our business needs and those of our clients 

  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with Client Teams to fully understand client needs and foster product adoption 

  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with Partners to monitor performance, foster innovation, and identify future opportunities to leverage partner data assets 

  • Work with Client Teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of new Gain Theory Solutions 

  • Facilitate communication internally to drive understanding and awareness of current and future partnerships (features, capabilities, limitations, cost implications, etc.) 

  • Draft original Gain Theory content (thought pieces, product release articles/posts, collateral, etc.) for publication. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, natural presenter capable of storytelling through data and insights 

  • Help drive teamwork and collaboration across Gain Theory functional areas; Data, Analytics, Client Teams, etc., to ensure we are bringing our best capabilities to bear for our clients and the industry. 

Who you are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required 

  • 4+ years related work experience  

  • Experience in working with multiple Marketing Analytics frameworks; Marketing Mix Modeling, Attribution solutions, Media Optimization solutions, etc. 

  • Strong analytical and strategic skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations, both strategic and tactical 

  • Understanding of industry research, data, and technology sources, such as Nielsen, IRI, iSpot.tv, YouGov, BAV, Experian, etc.  

  • Client relationship management expertise  

  • Experience in managing, mentoring, and inspiring team members. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including pivot tables and V-Lookups 

  • Excellent problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills 

  • Capability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. 

  • High attention to detail 

  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative on assigned tasks 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including presenting and story telling a must 

 

Beneficial Attributes 

  • Advanced degree preferred 

  • Python, R, SQL, Tableau, AWS, Google Cloud, and/or MSFT Azure experience highly preferred 

  • Fundamental exposure to core Statistics (Correlations, T-Stats, R2, sample sizing, A/B testing, etc.) 

  • 10+ years of experience in partnership development and management with an emphasis on data used for targeting. 

  • A well-respected thought leader within the industry, able to command the stage at industry events and author original content for relevant publications. 

  • Adept at both developing strategies and operating day-to-day within cross-functional teams.
